Hello all!
Iâve recently decided to sell my Audi 90 quattro. Breaks my heart, but I just canât afford to keep her and get her the way I want to. So Iâd like to sell her to someone who would appreciate it and is enthusiastic about these cars. Odometer stopped at 165k, I would guess it has around 175-178k on her now. I work relatively close to home, and donât drive her much. Oil changed every 3 and a half months after it stopped. Sheâll most likely be my daily until sold.
I bought this car in October of 2012 as a winter car. I (over)paid $2,800 and when I got it, she was pretty beat up. In dire need of a new rear diff and the engine was misfiring badly. So I bought a diff out of a Coupe and installed 034 injectors, and sheâs never failed me since or left me stranded. I have a folder FULL of all documentation since it was purchased in 1991, with the original paperwork the car came with. New clutch installed at 146k, and timing belt was at 155k if I recall correctly.
Engine runs strong, and the transmission shifts like butter. 034 injectors gave it a nice little boost. Not the fastest car out there, but this thing will blast through the snow like no other. Speedline rims, tires are mismatched, but they all have excellent tread.
But like all cars from this era in time, there are issues. Nothing that would keep you from driving her daily, but still should be addressed in the posting. The paint isnât in the best shape. Looks good from about 15 feet away or so, but once you get closer youâll notice little scratches all throughout the paint. Pictures canât capture it. Iâm not quite sure what caused this, but it seems like someone tried some method of power washing her and it didnât turn out to be the best idea. So the paint is a little rough. Clutch pedal seems to be a little âstickyâ at times, itâs not recessing all the way back to the top. This comes and goes, and Iâm not sure what the cause is, as its been this way since I bought it and have never had an issue with its drivability.
The interior is in decent shape. A little wear and tear on the driverâs seat, and all others. Carpet could use a good shampooing. There is a little bit of rust on the driverâs side rear wheel well(pictured). All electronics inside work except the rear diff lock. Headed seats Radio works, but the speakers arenât that great. Never really cared to mess with it. May need a new rear wheel bearing, slight noise coming from the back wheel area, but it comes and goes. Alignment is off, but I may get this fixed soon.
Price is set at $2,300 or best offer. Iâm not extremely set on the price, and if you are seriously interested price is negotiable. Just shoot me an offer and weâll go from there. But please donât insult me with $1,000 and a ride tractor or come look at the car and waste both of our time.
