Observations about "New Audi" drivers...

Javad,
I have similar feelings- the newer Audi "enthusiasts" that I've met are very
similar, for the most part, to the "ricers." All they care about is making
his/her
car look "nice" with different wheels, lowering, big exhaust, crazy stereo
system,
badges, decals, etc. Some of them can drive, but for the most part, they're
just
a bunch of idiots spending a lot of money on stuff without knowing what
they're
doing.

I rarely get any acknowlegement from other Audi drivers when I'm driving my
5kcstq.
However, I get a lot of notice from other Audi drivers when I drive the A4.
Go figure-
I think my 5kcstq has a lot more character than the A4. Much better road
feel, although
the chassis cannot even come close to comparing, and until I chip the
5kcstq, there is
no comparison in power (the A4 is chipped).

That's okay, though- to each his own. I think that most quattro listers are
extreme
enthusiasts- who else is crazy enough to own a 10-20 year old car and spend
$$$$ and
time fixing it? I've put about $6k into my 5kcstq, with another $3k to go,
possibly.
But my car is getting to the point now where it truly feels like a high-end
German
autobahn machine. Chip, exhaust, suspension bushings and paintwork are left.
Maybe a
radiator and a new turbo along the way.

Taka
