Blue/UrQ Strut Mounts vs. Stock

Hi all,

One last suspension question/decision to be made on the CQ: stock strut
bearings, or UrQ/Blue. The assessment I have thus far is that the UrQ/Blue
strut bearings are:

-more durable than the stock units, and last longer
-stiffer than the stock units
-lower the car an additional X fraction of an inch - I've heard a full 1/2
inch or better down to less than 1/4 inch...

Because I'm combining the mounts with lowering springs, I'm concerned about
too much drop (speed bumps are part of my daily commute, etc.). Would
anyone out there who's installed the units from The Parts Connection without
installing lowering springs have input on the added drop? Again, I know
we're talking fractions of an inch here, but if the mounts add a 1/2 inch to
the spring drop, that's 1.5 - 1.75 inches of drop or better, and that's a
lot on a car with a nice big exhaust header flange hanging just inches from
a speed bump... I've also heard, however, that my soon to be installed high
pressure Bilstein Sports might resist all but a fraction of the drop,
resulting in less lowering than might be expected.

Any comments welcome, and thanks again to those of you who have already
given your feedback as noted above. Thanks again all. My suspension is
just weeks away from installation! I'll give a full and detailed review as
soon as it's complete. I can't wait.
