Multi-plug advice - thanks

My thanks to the people who provided advice on my multi-plug problem, I got
the definitive answer today when I checked out the connections on another MB
Ur-q.

Yesterday I resorted to asking for advice at Centurion Audi (I know, I know,
but considering how much I've spent there over the last 12 months the
chances were pretty good that I might have got an answer) which turned out
to be 'it should be just like an Audi 90 although we can't be sure, we only
ever see one quattro turbo for service'. They gave me the owners name and
after a few minutes work with a phone directory I tracked him down to the
same village as my parents - I've lived within 4 miles of this car for 9
years and only seen it once, three weeks ago.

Really pleasant guy, willing to let me take a good look at his car, which
turned out to be probably the most original example of a MB Ur quattro that
I've ever seen, the interior is unmarked and looks more in keeping with 10k
miles rather that the 127k that its covered. Its complete with one or two
items that I have never seen on any other Ur, including an under-dash panel
behind the glove box. The engine compartment is a different story, being a
lot dirtier that I like to see and rather tatty in places, the owner
admitting to knowing nothing about that area, having always left the work to
dealers.
