"Drive a truly well sorted example [of the ur-quattro 20v] 10 years on and
you wonder what everyone else has been doing in the meantime.  The car is
sublime.  After a slight turbo pause the power comes on in a luxurious
surge, not too frenetic, nicely grown up.  There's a huge amount of grip,
fantastic balance, and a great feel through the wheel, all complimented by a
decent ride quality.  It sprints to 60mph in 5.9sec and with a 143mph top
speed.  But the numbers don't begin to convey the personality of the thing:
it's a great big wedgy flat-topped hero of a car.

...So pay them their dues, Quattro and Evo, icons and champions.  And much
more importantly, just about as good as four wheels gets."
