Oops, what did I do

OK, so I was a bit hasty (panicked?) last night when I wrote the last
message.  I think that there must have been a bit of air where it
shouldn't have been, because after a little poking and prodding and
idling the car is doing much better.  Smooth acceleration, zero valve
noise, keeps cool, purrs like a kitten at idle.  Well, OK, it purrs like
a kitten on a gastric tube, (idle's a bit lumpy) but it's working OK.
