Question for you turbo experts

Hi Robert,
I would let turbo experts answer your questions, but I have three questions
for you.
First, why would you replace R/Z mod with a chip? What was your rational
behind this? I know many people who are quite happy with R/Z. Is chip
solution so much better to justify a cost of replacement?
Second, I heard that cars with 1.8 bar mod must use 94 octane gas to prevent
knocking. 94 gas presumably runs much cooler and allows to utilize full
potential of this mod. True or false?
Third, did you reinforce your intercooler in any way to prevent bursting
under max boost conditions?
Thanks,
Efraim
