I have searched in vain on the family album for a temperature sensor that
plugs into the intercooler as mine does. The album shows the temp sensor
attached to the intake manifold after the throttle body. What gives? I'm
trying to track down a part here. If the inlet air temp sensor is the
culprit, I would like to find out how to replace it.

Good point. I'm having the opposite problem at the moment. Great power but
idles for crap once the car is warmed up. Me thinks it's one of the two
single wire temp sensors that are around the top radiator hose on the head.
If a temp sensor is bad in your case then the lack of power would make sense
as the computer would 'believe' that there is a problem.

Good luck, keep us posted.
