John,

As I'm sure someone has told you, it is possible to get a Auto engine to
bolt up to the Manual engine.  You may need to make some modifications, but
it is possible.  One of the guys on the V8Q list just completed the work and
if you check the archeives I'm sure you'll find all of the details.
