Radiator upgrade for 80tq

Since the turbo conversion, my car has been running on the warm side. I blame this mostly on the extra heat the water cooled K26 is introducing to the coolant. Some of you may recall that I removed the plastic and aux.radiator and converted back to an all metal 4kq unit. I am also running a "13 row Long" Mocal oil cooler. For city or street driving it is fine in all but the hottest weather. On the track, however, the car ran very warm, even overheating once (blew off some steam) in 90+ degree weather.
Basically, the options are slim, the best but most expensive being the massive 2B all aluminum radiator-I just could not afford it so I looked into some other options. I came by www.bekoradiator.com. They build high efficiency metal cores, and even have a high efficience "dimpled" core. They dimple the runners in the core to increase turbulence of the coolant thru the core, and also to slow down the coolant increasing the time to exposure. I dialed them up, and they referrred me to a local shop who was very reputable-George's Radiators in Sunnyvale, Ca. I dropped the core off Mon. and picked it up Tues. I had a 2" dimpled core put in, basically they cut out the middle of the old radiator and solder in a new core-basically a brand new radiator! It cost $400, a little steep but worth it if it can keep up with the heat of my motor.
After a few days of driving it, I am happy to say that it reduced my water temps by 40% under similar driving conditions. Even heavy flogging and boost will result in half a tick past the factory bold mark, almost half way up the guage. Under highway cruising, it hovers just past the warm up zone, and higher oil pressures indicate that my oil cooler therm. is closing at highway cruising speeds. I am happy with the results, let me know if anyone needs any more info. No affiliations, just a happy customer.
