To MB or MC?

I can think of at least one casting difference - the MB (MC as well?)
and later engines have locating lugs for the cylinder head gasket
pressed into holes drilled into protuberances cast in the block. These
protuberances are missing in WR and earlier engines - the casting is
clearly different.
There are certainly many different block castings in use, sometimes for
the same engine. I've found WR engine blocks with fittings for
pre-oilers, for instance.
There is one _major_ difference with the 20V heads - water cooling is
via an external water manifold.
