want to help with with an FAQ?

If so, mail me privately.  The list needs a group of people who will 
help write an FAQ.

types of things that need to be done:

-technical articles(like, "how to change the clutch on a so-and-so") 
from people who have done it; digital pictures help.  If any lister 
wants to submit such a beast, email ithe HTML and associated images 
in a zip, gzip, or hqx'd sit file to faq at audifans.com; try to keep 
the images small both in terms of dimensions and file size.

-listers are needed who regularly watch the list traffic, and when 
they see a question answered well, reformat the whole thing into a 
Q/A format

-one or two people to help organize and maintain the FAQ itself, 
including helping "install" submissions from people

-any lister can send in a Q/A submission for inclusion in the FAQ; a 
good example would be if you recently emailed the list, and received 
an answer, and it was correct.  For now, email a plaintext version to 
faq at audifans.com.    Keep in mind that the solution that worked for 
you may -not- be the solution for all problems.  If other listers 
tell you "Well, B fixed the problem for me!" and solution A worked 
for you,make sure you include that both in your Q/A.

...and whatever else you can think of.  The key point is that an FAQ 
isn't possible unless listers help out.

I'll make sure credit is handed out where credit is due whenever possible.

Those who have been complaining that we don't have an FAQ should take 
the time to help fix that :-)
