Check Engine Light?

Hmm,
welcome to total audi immersion - new car and new job.
Check engine means some fault code was detected by the computer.
Could be anything, I think, from a misfire, to a malfunctioning
*whatever* (o2 sensor, etc). Might be a passing thing. Coolant or
another alarmed/gauged fluid would bring a specific warning on your
dash, so its not that.
Probably not a big worry. The source can be pulled from the computer
by a code reader, which, at a dealer, you should have access to.
bring the mechanics donuts ;-)
How many miles? At around 60k, you really need to change to timing
belt, which, alas, is a "big deal", but very worth doing to protect
your engine.
