rear drums leaking fluid

You could get brake fluid leaks from a blown seal in the wheel cylinder, 
which pushes the brake shoes against the drums, or from a break in the 
flexible line going to the wheel or even a rust hole in the steel line to 
which the flexible line attaches.  Most likely is the seal in the cylinder.
