a/c compressors not compressing(running)

Hi All,

There is a semi thread on this subject with several complaining about hose
attempts by Audi dealer workshops.  The last time my compressor wasn't
working was after an a/c shop had "examined" my a/c.  Before going for a new
compressor et al I retraced the wiring and found a single pole connector
under the protective tray next to the air conditioner/heater just slightly
disconnected.  It was pushed together just enough to look like it was
connected but wasn't.  Plugging the connector restored my compressor.

I can't say if this connector is on newer cars, but for $1,200 to $1,800, I
would sure as heck look for it, either in Etka or a Bentley.
