Back roads to Maine

Hmmmmmmm. Road trip! My girlfriend and I want to get away for
a weekend in late September. I was thinking about Cape Cod, but
Maine might work.

- From where to where for these "_best_" roads?
  Route numbers, street names?
- Where could we stay near the ocean that would be ... romantic?
   I'm thinking bed and breakfast.
- Should I try and kill two birds with one stone and suggest an
   Audi get-together in Maine?
