Some ideas on keeping rodents from building nests in your car stored for the
winter. In order of efficiency:

1. A cat.
2. Traps.
3. Moth balls. I am assured the smell goes away within hours after the car
is opened up and aired out. Look for the large cakes of the stuff. Usually
sold with an imbedded hook for hanging in a closet. I have also heard that
rodents don't like "Irish Spring" soap bars. No need to open the box.
4. Drive the car onto 6 mil plastic sheeting that would come about 1/2 way
up the sides of the car. Cover the car with a (breathable) car cover.
Bring the plastic up over the car cover and secure it with duct tape (to the
car cover). You don't want to encase the car in plastic. Nor would you
want to stick tape to the car's paint.

I don't know if I believe the "Irish Spring" thing, but I did it anyway.
Can always find a use for the soap. I know I don't believe the ultrasonic
pest repellers, but I found one for under $10 at Home Depot and plugged it
in.
