Where's the heat????

The thermostat in Audi 80's and 90's is low temp.  I have the same problem,
and I'm going to change mine out before it gets too cold.  I just got my 87c
through blau.  Now it's just removing the power steering pump, draining the
radiator (to be on the safe side), replacing the thermostat, then the power
steering pump, and, finally, new antifreeze/water mixture.  Ensure you use a
NO PHOSPHATE antifreeze, or you will risk having to buy a new radiator.

Noticed last night on a long roadtrip that the heat on
my newly acquired '91 80q  barely works (blower works
fine but the air is only luke-warm). No detection of
heater core leakage. Anyone know what the problem
might be?
