I mean the overhead signs like on Interstates. Road signs on the right, I
can usually see just fine. The lamps on the GTi are Hellas, which have a
really sharp cut-off. Pretty much means I don't really feel the need for
fogs (unless it's pea soup like).
I have the same lights as your friend's A2 Jetta. But, I'm running 55/60W
H4s 100W H1s. As I said, the lows are great, but cut-off (at least
adjusted to the spec sheet) low enough that the big overhead highway
signs (many here in NY are already lit, but in Western Mass and Southern
Maine, they don't seem to bother) misses those interstate style signs.
