Let there be light

You can try (it's reversible) relays and the type 9007 conversion.
Basically, switch the low beam wire (yellow) with the ground (brown) on
the lamp sockets, and grind out the two lower locating lugs in the lamp
housing (keep the top one for registration of the bulb location). Install
Xenon charged (not HID) preferably NOT blue tinted, type 9007 bulbs.
Re-aim (they will need to tilt down alot, to the right, somewhat). A
minor, but usable improvement of pattern over the factory designed 9004
bulbs of similar output in the infamous type 44 turbo headlights
(assuming the lense is still clear). Has to do with the orientation of
the filaments. May (or may not) make an improvement with the 80/90
lights. Worth a try, for the price of the bulbs ($10-$15 ea).
