Legal question re cars [NAC]

Sorry for the waste of bandwidth, but I could use
some help in a situation I'm trying to resolve.

My cousin has a car which he parked at my home and
left for Japan. I have not heard from him since. This
was about 1.5 yrs. ago. His car has sat for over a year
now (insurance lapsed, so I could not keep it running)
and my landlord is not happy that I'm parking this car
here for over a year. He wants it gone, and I need to do
this by the end of the year.

I told my cousin this in a letter, but received no reply
for over a month, and I know the address is good. I possess
the title, old registration, insurance, tag and keys for the
car, but the title is in his name. How can I make my landlord
happy by removing the car, as I cannot legally sell the car
as a car w/o having the title in my name?

It's quite a problem to solve- worst case, landlord will have
the car towed away and destroyed.

Thanks,
Taka
