3B engine problem

Jase,

Unfortunately, I haven't own any cars newer than 1990. Your symptoms are
typical of the overboost cutout. You would do yourself well to get set of
Bently Manuals and learn about your motor. Much of the problems you can run
into are often attributed to vacuem lines and things that need cleaning
rather than replacement.

The "shop" will on the other hand ask you for an arm a leg and your first
born.

Someone else on the list with an S2 may be able to help you locate the
culprit better than I. My recollection about the newer motors, is that they
tend to hide all of the messy looking hoses and wires under removable
covers, and integrate some of the plumbing into that cover. Yours is 5 cyl.
correct?

Regards,

Ben

Brian,

Thanks for the reply... Lower wastegate hose runs from where to where?
I'm new to turbo motors... and it's the 3B in an S2 and there is NOT a
lot of room in there to see anything at all! would the hose be rubber
or metal or what??

thanks for your help!

cheers
