Unless I'm understanding something wrong, since I have an obvious leak,
it would be the master cylinder, but I though the master cylinder was in
the drivers foot well.

Any help would be appreciated, need my car, getting too cold to ride!

I didn't write that, but it seems to me that he's saying, if the master cylinder was leaking, you'd have a wet foot and smelly carpet inside the car; if you don't have fluid in the driver's footwell, then it's leaking at the slave (into/onto the bell housing, then to the ground) or from the flex hose to the slave.
Sounds like time to replace the flex hose and slave.
