5kta question [was: Re: 4000 auto trans]

I've got a question. If I need to drive an '87 5kta about 400 miles
after I buy it, is there anything I should do in preparation? I
wouldn't want to flush the fluid, and possibly put synthetic in it, or
anythign like that, would I? I might jar something loose, right?

Perhaps I should just top all the fluids off, check the tire pressure,
belts, and hoses?

Thanks,

Ken
