The ideal tool is made from a high-quality long ball-end Allen wrench
and a 6mm 1/4" socket - as long as you have a good long-handled 1/4"
ratchet handle. If you have to use 3/8" sockets, then the driver
needs to be slightly shorter. I use Beargrip Allen wrenches and
FACOM sockets. My worst experience was with Snap-Off.
Cut off the long arm of the wrench with an angle grinder and cement it
into the socket (cleanliness, etc.) such that the whole assembly is
EXACTLY 141 mm in length.
Use a 5mm long-handled ball-end Allen wrench, some WD40 or equivalent,
and a rag to clean out the screws. The recess in the 5mm wrench is
ideal for capturing crap - just keep sticking it in and twisting it
about until it starts coming out clean. Then insert the 'real' 6mm
driver and crack the screw.
The first one is a horrible feeling. They make a real CRACK sound and
instantly go less than finger-tight - you always think you've sheared
the damn thing.
