Are Nology worth it?

I'm not always this pragmatic about upgrades..

On the 100 Q I just got, the car ran like crap. It was due to the improper
assembly of the wires. Yes, the wires were Bosch, but were assembled
incorrectly, by a foreign car specialist, no less. Put a set of used Bosch
wires on and it runs great.

I'm now a believier that Bosch had designed its ignition systems down to the
wires, and therefore that is best and no corners were cut here, so there is
no gain to be had in aftermarket wires over 'properly installed' factory
wiring.

Over the years off owning these cars, I've removed several sets of
aftermarket wires that were basically junk. Sometimes, it was not the
quality of the components, except that perhaps, the components were not
designed to be installed by the average DIY'er. I invariably find that a
discarded used set of wires works just fine.

IMO in short, As long as the wires test "in spec", they will work just fine.
they are either broken or they aren't.

Yes, I'm a bit miffed about having to re-do work that was "professionally"
done.
