Lousy american drivers who couldn't differentiate between a brake and a gas
pedal that were a little closer together than they were used to.
Affected lots of cars/drivers not just Audis. However Audi was a "small
player" in the north american market, and didn't employ a lot of americans -
aka the proverbial "scape goat"/"sacrificial lamb".
Helped me buy a great car at a dirt cheap price.
