Lubricate center universal joint?

All the recent discussion of driveshaft bearing replacement reminded me of
something I've meant to bring up for a few months.  Namely, where is the
universal joint located on a 1990 Coupe Quattro?  Is it hidden under the
heat shield?  Apparently so, because it is not visible to me when
investigating under the car.  I'd like to know so I can give it a shot of
lithium for longer life.
