I used to think that the only 4-door car I'd ever really be interested in
was an XJ6. Then we bought the 100CSQ.
Now I wonder whether it's easier/cheaper to buy an ur-S4, supercharge the
2.8L V6, or scour the junkyards for a 2.7T engine and transmission and
transplant them into this car. (Buying the ur-S4 is obviously easier and
probably cheaper...)
The 100CSQ is the exact opposite of everything I used to think I liked about
cars -- it's big, white, heavy, comfortable, and oriented toward a family
(gee, sounds exactly like me... :-). I still can't get over the size of the
grin I get every time I push that through a couple of corners, kick down as
I transition toward the apex, and blaze out with all four wheels digging in
like the paws of a charging tiger. It's... well, I have no intention of
ever owning a car with fewer drive wheels than doors.
