Burned Exhaust Valve MC (Questions?)

Great advice from Wallace and Rich, I bought the gauge, checked compression;
110,128,128,125,125.
Clearly no burned valve. I must be a masochist because in a way I'm
disappointed to not be doing the "big" job. Obviously my diagnostic skills
are quite lacking, but me new hypothesis is that the 150K timing belt has
slipped a tooth or in general is too stretched. Tonight's project is to
take a look. With the flywheel at TDC the timing mark on the cam gear
should exactly line up with the top edge of the head right? If this is off
then is it correct to assume the belt slipped?
I'm thinking of renting the full set of timing belt tools from Blau.
Anybody used them? Is it worth it? I still plan to buy the belt, pump, and
idler, and front main seal from Carlsen.
Thanks for the advice.

I would advise you to buy the $24 Sears compression guage (the one with
the 14mm extender) and do a compression test. My 20V failed the hold a
dollar bill up to the exhaust and it turned out to be a dead injector.
