turbo coolant pump

If you are LUCKY.................the running time is about a year, give or
take.........
Of course that above statement is made with all due respect to the flood of
comments that I certainly will get from the ones who claims that it has been
"working" for them for over 10years...........
Least of all let's remember that because it is buzzing DOES NOT mean it is
pumping!
That pump is and was, always a piece of crap; the MB, VW and the Porsche
equivalent (also made by Bosch) are not much better!
Love to all,
Take care,
Avi

Are the fittings made of #$%##$ plastic which expires every 18 months?

I know this isn't the season where these are needed (in this part of
the country, anyhow), but tuck this away in case you need it. I
think I have found a source for the secondary coolant pump used on
the 5000/ 200 turbo cars. It's an aftermarket manufacturer, but
appears to have all the correct dimensions, and even the proper plug.
PLUS, it's magnetic drive, so no motor shaft seal to leak, and it's
even priced equal to or less than the OEM unit. When I get more
information on this unit, I'll let all who are interested know. I
might "test" on out on my car, after the holidays, when I have a
little cash.
