Vredestein WinTrac opinions?

<<I chose the Vredestein WinTrac over the Nokian NRW based on treadlife,

price, and warranty, both are H rated. So far, with about 15 miles on
them, they seem like good tires; quiet, no squirming, they feel like
all season tires.>>

Wow, then they must really be something! The Nokian NRW-H has the best
wear of any snow tire I've ever run. GREAT snow performance... and they
were better on pavement than the H-rated all-seasons they replaced. I
run them year-round on the wife's SAAB Turbo.

For my UrQ, I decided to try the Hakka Q. Just got them mounted this
week. Plenty of time in snow (unplowed, hard packed, slush, wet
pavement) but very little time yet on dry pavement. Exceptional so far
(much better than the NRW's) but I can tell the sidewalls and tread are
much softer, so I assume I'll like them less on pavement at high speed.
More updates later.

Vredestein has always made great tires, but I haven't run them in a few
years. But if they're cheaper than Hakkas and anywhere near as good...
I look forward to hearing other people's opinions...
