Which Tires?

Well now that I did some more digging about the tires I have on my
replacement rims and I found that they probably won't fair very well with my
car. The Bridgestone Potenza RE010's are only designed for the Acura NSX
and supposedly the Toyota MR2. I saw this on the Tirerack site and though
they were just listing cars that had this type of tire fitted OEM, but it
seems these are only made for RWD rear/mid engined sports rigs and are to be
used up front only. So my car is a FWD front engined lightweight stiffly
sprung sedan. Well that doesn't seem to be a good match now does it?
The only other tires offered at 215/45 16" were Dunlop SP8050's,
Michelin Pilot Sports, Pirelli P7000's, and Yoko A022's. The Yoko's and
Michelins are too expensive, $200 range. The Dunlops aren't my cup of tea
as I had a set of SP9000's that I didn't particularly like very much. The
P7000's were my second choice since they are much cheaper in price, I want
to get the bang for buck out of this construction company.
I've contacted Tirerack and await a reply through the phone or email.
They actually called me before they shipped the tires because they never go
over 205/45 16" for the TYP89's. He said I need to test fit and call them
back to confirm proper fitment or I can return for 205's of my choice.
Anyone have some input for me on this tire quest? I may go with the P7000's
at $118 and hope they live up to the $200 tires, most likely not.
TIA,
