The warranty difference, as explained to me, was 3 years on the
Vredestein's, none on the Nokian's. The price difference was only $10
per tire. The Vredestein's look like an all season tire, the tread
design is an asymetrical arrow, quite unlike the blocky designs I see
for straight snow tires. Go to http://www.vredestein.com to see the
tire.

I could've mounted up the Hakka 1's, but I hadn't heard great things
about them in the dry.

Well, I have a week to make up my mind, so I'll keep giving the
opinions. So far, I can't tell that these are snow tires, though they
seemed very capable in yesterday's slippery stuff (here in
MetroBoston).
