Threshold braking only approaches ABS braking WHEN YOU KNOW you are
braking at the limit, i.e. a race course where braking points are known
and generally you've had some practice. Ditto for auto-X. On the street,
you don't always know what's coming up (like the Accord that popped out
of the side street in front of me today) and there it's hard to properly
threshold brake (unless you've one QUICK mind) and turn. I was glad I had
ABS today or I would probably had flat spotted my new snows.
