aftermarket rack/Jorgen longevity?

I was wondering if anyone who's replaced with 5k steering rack, 
has had any problem with the new replacement rack.

For example, I know Jorgen racks are around $250 or less, and 
they have a lifetime warranty.  Has anyone used one of these and 
been anything but satisfied?

I'm just trying to get a feel for the potential repair cost.  It's my 
understanding that Type 44 issues include the following:

leaking rack
leaking hydraulic pump
failed bomb
a/c controller failure
michelin man hose
multifunction temp gauge
fuel pump and/or relay
battery cable connection under rear seat
idle/wot throttle sensor
intake air temperature sensor
blower motor?

Additional costs for an older model to be brought (back) up to par:
new struts + hardware
eurolites

I don't mine buying things once, especially for a 12 year old car.  
It's the ones that fail repeatedly that really bother me.
