el cheapo struts for '88 5kcstq

this was almost a year ago and my car is a 5kT. I think the quattros have a 
different rear strut due to all the weight back there. I think Boge is 
prolly the best all-around strut and not as expensive as Bilsteins, etc. I 
think the Boge were OE for my '84 5kT. I heard someone else mention they 
weren't, maybe they changed things later on. Anyone clear this up?
