Hi fellow Audiettes. I've been off list for a bit, but need to tap into
one of the best sources on the 'net. I know the experts must have
tackled this one before, and I'm hoping I can get a quick diagnosis:
1988 5000 CS Turbo Quattro Wagon
Symptom:
Since weather reached minus zero temps, the car will not start with a
warm engine. Starts right up *immediately* after shutting down, but
anything longer than 3 to 5 minutes and the problem surfaces. Cold
starts are excellent. Problem seems to last between 1 to 2 hours, where
it will then behave as normal. Note: I have occasionally been able to
get it sputtering to life by pumping the bejeesus out of the throttle
while overworking the starter motor.
Question:
What's the deal with that?
Thanks list!!!!
