Why is my Audi 5000 Passengers front door handle so hard toopen?

There are no rivets in the trigger style door handle on the 44's.  If I
recall correctly there is a roller pin and a peened stud.  I can't see a
need to disassemble the handle either, as you said a clean and lube will
usually do it.
