subtle thudding in front end of 90

With the car up on a lift, you may be able to see the marks where the
subframe is hitting again the body.

New bushings...or....quick and dirty and cheap fix...

Use circular rubber exhaust hangers inserted between the chassis and the
bushing as spacers to move the subframe away from the body. Bolt out,
insert, bolt on.
