No, not as cool as a supercharged V8.... but did I mention the MC 4ktq is
fast? Even with STOCK boost!>>
Sure, a turboed stock Audi sedan has its cool limits, but what are outrageously cool are the Audi race cars of the 80's. I draw much inspiration and cool factor from the history of these cars! Knowing that Audi built the IMSA GTO cars, fire breathing 20v monsters, originally off my type 89 quattro is really neat. When I step on the gas and rev that 5 cyl. turbo up, its sounds and feels a lot like the race cars I see in those videos.
I believe history and technological advance are the two main factors that contribute to cool factor. A supercharged cheby V8 has no real history with me, the Audi cars do, and thus that is why the car is really only cool to other Audifans like me who know the history. Of course, hitting your revlimiter somewhere above 135 mph is not bad either...and 4 wheel burnouts are pretty cool too ;)
