FS 86 4kq Ottawa, Ontario, now 86 4kcsq gas mileage

Speaking of the trip, mine in the last 2 weeks wants to register better than
28mpg in all of my driving conditions.
Seemed really reliable in the past until it showed a big decrease in mpg
(dropped below 24 hwy) till I fixed a fuel leak and then it soared above 28.
Granted I do a lot of open road driving but really, 28.6 mixed mpg average?
Any adjustments other than keeping the pedal down to where it reads as I
would expect it?
