Earlier this year, I swapped out my entire front suspension on the 4ksq.
These endlink bushes were the biggest pain in the ass part of the whole job
-- until I figured out the following method:
1) Wrap a small worm-type hose clamp around the diameter of the bushing and
tighted. Lightly lube the one end and the outside rim of the bushing before
applying the hose clamp. You want to make the end of the bushing bulge
forward. Also lube the opening in the sway bar end.
2) Using a c-clamp and either a dowel or socket that is smaller in diameter
than the diameter of the hose clamp, drive the bushing out of the hose clamp
and into the sway bar end. Make sure you offset the c-clamp on the sway bar
end and are not covering the hole. Once you have seated the bushing, remove
the c and hose clamps.
3) Using a nut driver, or something similar, push and rotate the bushing to
further it in. Use a rag or cheeze cloth to create friction between the
driver and rubber bushing. You may have to use a thin, dulled screwdriver to
pry or "pop out" the end of the bushing. Carefull not to rip the bushing!!
This worked well for me. One side popped right in(took 5 min), the other
side protested and took 15 min.
