Many thanks to blarson at Zeiss.com and others for input.
On my '90TQA I removed the hydraulic power brake and steering assist and
installed vacuum brake booster and power steering from '83-  Audi 5k.  It
took a little more than is required in converting earlier models but
certainly not impossible.
The original post was November 01, 1999   Subject: 5k steering and brake
retrofit.
And... I used all Audi parts plus a piece of a  Mercedes and Posche bolts!
