If it's like the ones I looked at, it's a bushing, not
a bearing.  It is pressed into the housing.  I
entertained some thoughts of machining the housing to
accomodate a bearing in it's place.  I have heard and
read somewhere recently that INCREASING the belt
tension will quiet this.  I believe you can
overtighten it, but I've got both of mine QUITE tight.
 Maybe that's why they added the tightening mechanism
on the Type 44.
