A4 brake alarm

Haudi all,

I had an indication last night on the commute home.  I hit a
moderate-sized pothole with the right rear, at ~5 MPH.  Suddenly
the brake warning light started flashing.  At one point I shut
off the engine and restarted, and the flashing persisted.  Some
more facts:

- no apparent change in brake effectiveness (tho' ya can't really
  tell at commuting speeds)

- no change in pedal feel

- fluid reservoir is filled adequately

- no leaks under car.

This morning, the light was out.

The car is a '98 A4tqm.  Hmm, maybe that explains it... one of
the Audi gods was just checking it out, and didn't like it. 
Whaddya think, too new?... or just not kewl enough?
