MC swap optimism

Ken, good idea, but you're not taking it far enough.

If I had no financial limits on building a car, I'd build an
'85 UrQ up with an AAN 20v turbo engine mated to an RS2 tranny,
with a strengthened clutch, variable geometry sequential twin
ceramic-blade turbos, custom intercooler, custom engine management
and a wiring harness custom made by this electronic tech that
I know who would be able to do everything in audiophile grade
wiring, silver solder everything perfectly and rework the electrical
system to eliminate some of the stupid circuits that Audi designed,
like wiring a bunch of the various lights in series. Of course,
that wiring harness would probably cost upwards of $75k as it would
take probably a year of him devoting most of his time to build it.
:-)

While I'm at it, I'd strip the entire chassis down, seam-weld it,
fix any dents or dings, and repaint it in something like Porsche's
Baltic Blue (from the early '80s, contemporary to the UrQ).

Taka

Yeah, if I was rich, I'd had Monster Cable or someone make me a
wiring harness. That would be for my 20vt ur-q, maybe with some
progressive nitrous.
