I've thought it was normal before, based on that same logic.  But I 
think I was getting higher boost then.  Yes, I was getting 1.3 bar, 
and it was 1.4 bar that I was worried about my not getting.

The part that I don't understand is that stock Audi's supposedly put 
out 1.42 bar.  Does that mean they read 1.1 bar with the engine 
off?  I was equating 1.0 bar with atmospheric pressure at sea level.
