Yellow Koni sports - are they any good?

 Hi.

 I was recently offered an excess pair of yellow koni sports (adjustable)
 dirty cheap. Do these require some special springs or do they match
 the original ones? My car is a '86 200 tq avant. I'm tempted to buy these
 shock absorbers but I'm not totally convinced yet.
 (They are the same width as the original shocks)
