I did actually clarify this comment when someone pointed this exact 
fact out to me. I did say a HUGE whoosh of air, implying a deep 
vacuum, but it wasn't very clear. A deep vacuum can indeed collapse 
the tank, and can with some pump arrangements, prevent pumping of 
fuel.
